Focusing on four grape varieties; early Pinot Noir, Siegerrebe, Rondo and Orion all our vintage wines are only made from grapes grown at Wythall Estate. This creates expressive wines of limited quantities which, year on year, reflect the unique characteristics of our Herefordshire valley vineyard.

Pinot Noir Reserve
2023

A wine produced only in our very best years. This is the fourth vintage of our single variety early pinot noir and one which continues to demonstrate the remarkable possibilities for red wine production in the Wye Valley.
The superb hand harvested Early Pinot Noir fruit of our record breaking 2023 crop saw 12 months oak ageing in French barrels before further bottle ageing. This has led to a delicate wine with great complexity.
Ruby red in colour with soft, creamy notes of black cherry and raspberry on the nose with earthy tones and a savoury, mineral edge. The palate shows great structure with a hint of vanilla, smoky undertones, and a chalky grip. On the finish, an appealing mouthfeel leads to a dry, serious finish
Estate Red
2023

Our vintage Estate Red is a wine characterised by its soft mouthfeel, great length and a stunning deep purple tone.
Made entirely from our Rondo grapes this 2023 wine has been blended with a small percentage of our barrel aged 2022 Rondo juice to add complexity and to soften the natural tannins.
Bold aromas of red cherry and cranberry on the nose are followed by a soft and vibrant palate with a hint of spice, juicy blackcurrant and stone fruit notes. Light tannins and a long juicy finish help this wine pair well with charcuterie or other red meats, particularly lamb.
siegerrebe
2023

This single vineyard, vintage wine, is made from our hand harvested 2023 Siegerrebe grapes.
Our seventh vintage from this gorgeous variety is pale in colour with a lively nose of pear, orange blossom and passionfruit. A vibrant palate shows saline complexity with flavours of grapefruit, white currant and elderflower before finishing with clarity and subtle power. Delightfully easy drinking.
A wine which is a perfect pairing for light curry dishes, chicken, and warm summer days.
Until recently Siegerrebe (pronounced zee-ger-riba) was thought to be closely related to Gewürztraminer, however, it is now thought to be a freely pollinated seedling of Madeleine Angevine. Known as ‘victory vine’ in German, it is a variety well suited to our Herefordshire microclimate with its ability to reach high natural sugar levels making it ideal for our still wine.
Vintage RosÉ
2024

A blend of Siegerrebe, Pinot Noir, Orion and Rondo, this vintage rosé is the only wine to come from a challenging 2024 vintage with only 841 bottles produced.
The nature of this low yielding year, combined with later than average harvest, meant the grapes were picked at excellent concentration levels, perfect for still wine.
A lovely salmon pink hue with a clean and inviting nose of rose petal and red berry notes. The palate is playful and fruit-driven with sweet vanilla, watermelon and a hint of Turkish delight. The finish is clean, fruity and dry.
RosÉ CuvÉE
2022

Made from 95% Orion and 5% Early Pinot Noir these grapes were handpicked in mid-October 2022 following a long hot summer as we searched for optimum sugar levels and acidity.
The juice then followed the traditional method spending 12 months in stainless steel tank and then a further 18 months lees ageing in bottle before being disgorged in April 2025. This process has allowed great complexity and clarity to develop with small persistent bubbles giving this wine a joyous mouthfeel which coats your palate.
Energetic and vibrant, a nose of strawberries and cream gives way to an expansive palate. Full of mango and orange peel, rose water and raspberry crumble the 2022 Rosé Cuvée won’t be around for long. Just 661 bottles produced.
